What is the best and cheapest card i must use to upgrade may PC?

my current PC details are like this.


Processor Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.66GHz 3.5
Memory (RAM) 2.00 GB
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 6500
Windows 7 64-bit operating system
mother board - asus p5ld2


but now i want to upgrade this. so i am going to buy duel core or 3.00 processor. but which graphic card i must buy? one of my friend told me ,not to buy GT 210 card because it is weak for gaming. So what would be the best & cheapest choice? Pls Help!

To be doing any decent gaming you'll need at least a GTX 460, a GTX 550ti ot in the worst possible case, a GTX 260. And those start at $130. Keep in mind also that if you want to upgrade your CPU, you'll have to go with an older series dual-core.

As kramkat said, what is you budget? Also, what games do you plan on playing and at what resolution?

if your power supply is at least 300W get the 7750.

I can play the latest games it, changing settings of course on 1080p.

yup it is... GT version are weak.. so if you want to upgrade choose those GTX series like GTX 550.

A bit late with the reply, but GT cards nowadays are only entry-level. GTX is where the power's at.

yes the 210 is weak. I own it and stuck it in my dad's computer since he does nothign except youtube. if you're gamer don't go 210. best cheapest card is the 7750 like i said
