How do you like it? By the way, I am not planning on using this as my main machine, but instead as a web server, ftp, and mostly Minecraft/Tekkit server to get some donations. Plus I will be able to build my own machine for just about 500 dollars. Not bad huh? Thanks again guys and suggestions are welcome!

Best regards,

More about compatibility
  1. My only comments are in regards to the HDD and the Power supply. I see a lot of Samsung drives at work getting RMA'd. I would get Western Digital or Seagate, but thats just me. On the Power supply, I would definitely not get Logisys. If you want a good low power one, look at the Corsair CX430

Everything is compatible but that psu scares me. The cheapest psu I'd grab would be Antec 350W.

I am now thinking I should go towards a 500 watt one... What do you think?

Alright, my friend recommended that HDD but I always go with Western Digital. And for the PSU, can you recommend one? And is that enough strength?
  5. I dont know, I just cant help but feel like you dont need that much. Just for the hell of it i put your system on a "wattage calculator" and it said it would need a 270 watt psu...but i would get a little more just incase you want to add something later on. Like I said earlier the Corsair CX430 is pretty good. I had it in a system and it worked very well.

Don't know. I think I am going for the 500watt. How is the HDD below?
  7. haha alright, cant blame you for wanting to play it safe. and those hard drives have a pretty awesome reputation as far as i understand

Also, what do you think about those SATA cables? BTW, the grand total is: $567.05 do you think that is fair?
  9. If im not mistaken, those are the same cables i have, and i like them just fine in my system. I assume you're in the US, you could also look at tigerdirect.com to compare prices and maybe bring it down slightly.

I am fine spending 10 dollars, I personally don't like TigerDirect and had a bad experience with them.
  11. Also, should I stick another fan in there?
  12. if you feel like it, yeah, but honestly if youre not going to be running anything other than the basics, i wouldnt feel like its too necessary

Alrighty then. Thanks for all your help!
  14. Erm. Noob question: the psu will fit correct?
  15. yup, its an atx psu in an atx case...unless something got manufactured horribly wrong, it should fit haha
  16. ATX12V is just the voltage correct?
