Hi :)

No such thing as a BUDGET GAMING rig...

You should spend several HUNDRED dollars/pounds on the graphics card ALONE...

All the best Brett :)

I already have a HD6770 purchased. So vid card is no longer part of the equation. Need to select new mobo/cpu to replace old units.

Perhaps someone can help with some more insightful response?

Hi :)

Here is my insightful response... get rid of the £60 (6770) graphics card and buy a decent one...

Get a pentium G8xx or a cheap i3, and a mobo(b75/h77) for latter upgrade for i5 or i7, also consider saving some $ for a better card next year.

This build is for a very limited budget, and the g860 pushes the budget a good $50-60 higher than the other two mentioned.

So between the two cpu's listed (AMD A6-5400k vs AMD Phenom II X4 955), which is better?
