Every time I boot up BF3 it crashes after a few minutes of gameplay...no matter what settings I put it on. I have installed latest Nvidia driver to no avail. My system is using ASUS p8z77-V premium, single EVGA Superclocked GTX 670, i7-3770k, and 8gb of mushkin blackline DDR3 1600MHz. I don't know much about computers but I went to bios and tried increasing voltage on cpu to 1.2 volts...might not have had an impact. Anyways, the game plays smoothly and looks great at a constant 170 fps on ultra on my 1366x768 32' samsung but freezes, screen goes blank and I have to eventually use to task manager at which point it says BF3 has stopped working. HELP!

have you checked your temps to see if you are overheating?

If you know nothing about PCs, why are you messing around with voltage in the BIOS? What PSU are you using?
June 19, 2012 3:47:57 AM

it's currently at 50 C

make sure your running bios 408. use the bios flashback to update the mb bios. also use cpu-z check the ram speed and timing the mb set up. most time you have to set the bios to xmp profile and check that the timing (ie 9-9-9-924 and 1.5-1.65v) is set right in the xmp profile the mb reads. also if your using the hdmi port on the mb and trying to use LucidLogix mvp software it buggy as hell on my sabertooth mb. i turned off the mvp chipset in my bios and set the first video device as pci.
the newest mvp software from LucidLogix does not like the 30x drivers.

* In Windows 7/Vista go to Start menu. Go to Accessories. Locate the command prompt shortcut and hover mouse over it. Right Click on the shortcut then select Run as Administrator.
* In the command prompt type this exactly: bcdedit /set increaseuserva 2500. Then hit enter.
* Make sure you get a message back confirming the change was made. To verify the entry is there you can type just bcdedit, hit enter, and you should see the entry now listed.
* Then close the command prompt. You just told Vista to increase user virtual address (userva) space to 2500MB.
* Changes take effect on reboot .

Also what abut other games?
June 19, 2012 4:31:47 PM

other games run smooth as butter and stability is no problem for skyrim with ultra texture pack, and it walks through RAGE no problem in sight...however my DEAD ISLAND has resulted in red screen of death after only 10 min of gameplay...before that it just freezes and stutters

I have been playing on auto detect settings and no crashes so far...but my system can handle ultra without a hiccup, I don't know what part of my comp is being taxed too heavily...I appreciate the suggestions though

these answers are pretty much all wrong. EVGA has a recall on your particular card, which is not the ftw but the factory oc version. Switch your pcie to 2.0 instead of 3.0 while you wait for your new FTW RMA replacement.
