Hi everyone,

This is my first computer build, and i have narrowed my build down to two different cpu's and motherboards, but i need some help on deciding which one to get. I also want to make sure everything i have selected for my build is fully compatible.

here's my 2 builds : http://pcpartpicker.com/user/BigBilly69/saved/

Thanks

I'm assuming your budget range is some where between $500-$600? If not what's your budget range?
AMD is more for budget rigs, Intel is really good. I've used AMD hardware and had no problems but it's personal preference really.

Using pcpartpicker, when picking parts there's a little box on the right side that should be checked to show you parts that are compatible with your CPU/MoBo.

yes my budget range is $500 - $600. I have always preferred amd over Intel just solely on the price difference .

The first one is bad, the second one is good. You could get an intel build on your budget no problem though.

If i where to go with intel i would want to have a bigger budget so i could get a I5 or I7. In reality that's not going to happen because my budget is $500 - $600. I think i will go with the 2nd build like you suggested.

Thanks for the Reply!!! :)

I just noticed that the phenom ii x4 955 is not in stock because it is discontinued. I know i can still buy a new one but that would add to much to my budget since it is discontinued.

Would this be a good option instead of the 955, and if so what is a good motherboard to go along with this cpu ?

That's basically the same as a 955.
