Problem in monitor's display

I have a P5G41T-M LX3, Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 Processor,
4GB(2X2GB) DDR3 1333MHZ R.A.M. and a Dell IN2020M Monitor,
and a nVidia GeForce 9400GT of Biostar Company.

When i connect my monitor to the cpu by dvi cable it selects automaticly the resolution to 1600x900@60hz (native) but when i connect to vga cable it selects 1024x768 resolution on both in graphics card and motherboard's vga port.

so how to make the 1600x900@60hz native automatically except of 800x600 and 1024x768 in inbuilt and graphics card ???

The question is, you have one monitor, why are you bothering connecting it with a VGA cable at all? Granted it should work with the VGA connection on that resolution, but DVI has a better signal quality anyway. And since it works just fine on DVI, leave it as it is.
