Hey Tom's Hardware Community,

I have an old Gateway tower, model # MFATXSTL KTH 300SE, and would like to strip it down and rebuild it from the inside out.

Is it possible to install the latest hardware into such a tower? Where should I start? Is there a better alternative to build a tower? I am in it for the learning experience.

Any tidbit of information you can give me will be much appreciated. I can give any details you need.

Thanks a bunch guys!

J.T.

The altetnative is to buy a new pc case..
Now,it depents of the parts you want to put in there.. I am sure there are parts tha will fit in there but they may not meet your needs..

Sorry for the long wait for a reply, I went on vacation.
As I am looking for mainly the experience to go with it, I would like my pc to be able to run like an average home use system. Able to run the basic softwares (office, photoshop, internet), and be able to stream video and games easily. Thanks!
