Ok so I've posted a lot in the last week. My current system is an athalon ii x2 240, radion 4350, xpower 585 psu. I have looked at every way possible and there are two options for me right now. Not wanting to risk any new purchase I need to replace my psu and will cost me 59.99. Option 1 : upgrade CPU to amd phenom ii x4 965 black edition

Option 2: upgrade Gpu to 6670

Don't really have the money to do both at one time. What option will give me the best improvements.

Go for the new GPU first. Though I'd advise against the 6670 from a value point. 7770 or 7750 has better bang for buck, and is powerful enough to leave a little headroom for a later CPU upgrade.

And before you upgrade your CPU, you may want to check if your motherboard can handle the new CPU. Some boards don't support CPUs with high wattage.

So now I'm wandering. Would I not be better to buy the psu and Gpu now and wait a few months to upgrade the CPU and mobo to Intel. The upgrade path would be better on an Intel board. My only worry is will my current CPU be sufficent to run say a 550 ti

Yeah dude, a whole new build would be great if you want to wait and save up for that. I highly recommend my own build, but you could get away with keeping your existing case and PSU and getting an HD 7750.

And btw, pretty much any PSU 250w+ can support an HD 7750 or 6670.
