How much would this laptop sell for?

I am looking to sell my laptop that I currently own for a new one. I was wondering how much it would sell for, say on ebay or maybe even selling it to a friend. I just need to know a fair price for it.

Its a Dell XPS L501x from 2010.

CPU: i5 M560 2.67ghz (1st Gen)

GPU: Nvidia GT 420m

RAM: 8gb

DISPLAY: 15.6" 1366x1080 (Pretty Close)

HDD: 7200rpm 500gb

ODD: DVD (No Blu-Ray)

BATTERY: 6-Cell Lithium


It has no damages to it and it works just fine. I just want an upgrade so I can play Skyrim on higher settings

I would be happy to post anything additional if you need to know it.

They way you see what a laptop is worth is to pull up comparable laptops.

Goto EBAY. Google your laptop. See what a seller with good rep is getting. Then drop your price another $50 unless you have a good rep with 100s of positive feedback. Alternative find a friend who needs a lappy and cut them a good deal.

I personally would not buy a used laptop from someone I didn't know, laptops lead a hard life and (unlike desktops) the parts that fail (MB, Screen) are expensive and are a pain to swap. This type of thinking cuts the resale price of used laptops.
