Having Problem with installing a local HP LaserJet 2100 with WinXP. When i did an upgrade to XP, the initial installation was fine, Windows Automatically detected the printer on the parrallel port (LPT1) and installed the needed drivers I downloaded from HP's website designed for XP. It would print a test page fine, and everything worked fine. However, when you restart the computer, it is unable to talk to the printer. When you go to print a test page, it will say that it spools to the printer, but then dissapears prior to printing. There will be no documents in queue and nothing happens. To get it to work I have to delete the parrallel port in Device Manager (ECP Printer Port LPT1) then run add hardware where both the LPT1 and the printer are detected and installed and it works till the next restart. I've tried printing from a command promt, which didn't work, i've reset the printer, didn't work, switched calbes, didn't work.... ANY IDEAS..??
