GT 440 for Dell inspiron 560

Hello,
I am trying to upgrade my graphic card from Intel(R) G45"G43 Express Chipset TO Galaxy Technology GeForce GT 440. will it work on my PC

Here is my computer info:

Processor: Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5800 @ 3.20GHz
Processor Speed: 3.20 GHz
Memory:4.00 GB
Operating System:Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit
Hard Drive:684GB
Power supply: 300Watt

Best solution

The GT440 is a low profile card and should not be overly taxing on your current setup. As long as your motherboard has a PCIEx2.0 Slot, I don't see any problem with it not working. If you can give us your exact motherboard model, we should be able to confirm.

According to CPU-Z, my motherboard is a Dell 018D1Y.

Can't seem to open up the pic for some reason, but googling the Motherboard shows that it has a PCIE x 2.0 slot and it is one of those few 775 motherboards that had DDR3 ram. There should be no problem with you adding a GT440.
