Upgrading Motherboard?

Hello,
I currently have a Intel Pentium E2140 CPU and my motherboard has a 775 socket. I have recently been given a new graphics card but it is PCI-E x16 2.1 and through various tests and attempts it will not work with my motherboard which is only PCI-E x16 1.0.
I'm quite happy with my CPU and keen to keep costs down I wish to keep it. What is there out there for me if anything in motherboard options that will accept my current CPU and new GFX card?

Thanks for your time.

  1. Are you sure you want to do that? Your processor might likely not keep up.
