Computer keeps reseting after CPU upgrade

I need help. I just upgraded my old Pentium Dual-Core processor to a Quad-Core (I have an Asus MB with the LGA775 socket).

After installing the new CPU, the computer just resets over and over. It doesn't even have time to POST or make it to BIOS. I re-installed the previous CPU and flashed BIOS, then put the new CPU back in, only to get the same result. I also pulled out the CMOS battery and put it back in.

PLEASE HELP!

More about computer reseting upgrade
  1. Can you give more specific details.
    MB model, CPU model
  2. and the psu, video card.
  3. Make sure you removed the battery for 30+sec. I'd also remove the ram and then just try one stick at a time. It sounds like the RAM timings are off for some reason.
