How do I get my Soundblaster Plat 5.1 remote to work on dvd

I bought Asus Geforce 3 and it came with Asus Power Dvd.
I want to use my Remote when I watch DVDs.

Can anyone help me out here?

System:
Tbird 1.1gig
Video card: Asus Delux geforce3
Sound Card: Sound Blaster Live plat- with remote

oh yeah i forgot I use windows 2000 pro.
