1 300g hard drive Which had Dell system on it prior Yes I Deleted the Drive reformated it and I was only able to install windows 32 bit.
Bios last updated V17.5 12/13/2011

I'm not able to Burn, Change CD drives or use A flash drive you think updating the Bios Disk defrag will let me Install Windows 64 bit?

I have two CDs only the 32 bit seems to work with out the error.


I put the CD in the drive Reset press any button windows loads up get's the first too 100% then it stays at 0% then gives me the 0x80070017 Error Images cant be read. I have tryed with only the mouse in keyboard it failed I have tryed with a partition of 50gig and no go, I have swicth the ram in and out many times and no go. What are the odds of a bad cd you think if I spend 79 bucks I can but another copy of windows 7 64 bit and not get the same crap or is it some thing to do with my hard ware?

First thing to try would be to give it a propper wipe:

then reload your OS from a reliable image source. (Cnet)

What version of Windows 7 do you need? I'll find you the .iso download..

You will have to download the .iso file and then burn it to a disc (best use roxio)
