Does anyone know how to find out how powerful a PSU is (i.e. 230/300w) without using the obvios stickers on the outside. Is there a way of doing through software?

I think the simple answer is 'no'.

The PSU provides DC voltages to the mobo and not much else, certainly no data regarding its power output.

Physically testing a PSU's capabilities usually involves drawing increasing current until the DC voltages drop (or the PSU blows).

Can't do that in software.
