I have been playing SWTOR since beginning of Beta last year. I tweaked my system and replaced the graphics card as well as updated my ram. I initially had issues with the drivers for my GTX 560 and ended up rolling back to 275.33 version due to instability issues with the newer drivers (280.26, 285.62, 290.36).

Recently there was a new driver suggested= 301.42, but after reading the nVidia forums and seeing multiple posts on how problematic that particular driver is, I decided not to download and install that one. I still experience occasional screen freezes while browsing but nothing to cause major problems.

I really would like to know if nVidia is ever going to correct some of the issues they have with their drivers or if this is something I will just have to live with? I really hate it when software (drivers in particular) do not perform according to plan...especially when no one seems to be able to find an adequate solution to fix the problems occurring that are caused by faulty programming on a driver set.

Any help to getting a stable driver update would be appreciated.

perform a 'clean sweep' of nVidia drivers and try it again with a fresh install.

I have done just that and have had no issues with the new 301.42...yea!!!

you must be having personal issues because nVidia drivers they are the better drivers of the two companies.
I have 560-Ti's in SLi and I run 301.42 drivers without issue.
also have a 550-Ti, GTX 580 and GTS 250 on 301.42 as well.

good performance.?

Barring the small inconveniences of fixes and such, my system seems to handling the game well. I am enjoying it but I am, of course, a new gamer. My son got me into gaming so the community thinks it funny this ole lady plays. hehehehe

I love your enthusiasm and I can recommend a few games for you..

Well, thank you sir. Unfortunately I am limited to only one paying game at a time. I do have EQ2 f2p at the moment. I don't particularly like pvp games but will try to see if GW2 has a free trial once it launches.

Thank you very much for the offer though.

I have updated driver to latest 301.42 and have seen no repeat of earlier problems that caused me to roll my other driver back.

Seems things got fixed.
