Is this graphic card ok for HD editing

my computers #1 purpose is hd video editing and #2 gaming. I use the adobe cs5.5 products.

How would a radeon 5850 do? Im on a bit of a budget here so i'd like to keep it around $200. It seems I can find ATI 5850's for around $150 on Google Shopping.

I use the 5850 as well. Works great with adobe photoshop and after effects. Not sure if there's a better card under 200 for video editing, but you'll definitely be able to do it with the 5850. If you can go a little over your budget, the 7850 is an excellent card. It exceeds the 5850 in performance with less power usage, and has double the VRAM which is quite helpful.

well, you people are in hurry why? There is a excellent card available for about $169 after rebate it's 159, HD 6870 almost destroy the HD 5850 at less price, here is a bench take a look.
