Hi, I've just recently bought a pc with an AMD FX-6120 six core and Radeon HD 7450 and a 300w power supply. What is the best card I can get to replace the 7450 within my power supply that is still stable.

Solution
What is the make/model of your PSU?

I would say a 7750 to be on the safe.If it turns out it's a quality PSU then I would say go for the 7770.

Are you planning on O.C.ing your CPU?

do u mean Asus - AMD Radeon HD 7750 1GB GDDR5.....
if u mean that and i really dont understand this alot, but
Asus - AMD Radeon HD 7750 1GB GDDR5:
Memory Clock 4600MHz

AND

Asus - NVIDIA GeForce GT 440 1GB GDDR5 :

But for real i compared 7750 is really better than gt440 but for real both are really almost the same!!

And also

"Required" is a very subjective term when it comes to graphics card power-draw. The HD 7750 will draw 55w at MAX and less when gaming. Graphics card manufacturers have to allow for the worst possible scenario so they cannot be held liable when someone plugs their card into a computer with 7 hard drives, 3 optical drives, a 140w CPU, 8 USB devices, and a 10-year-old, no-name, 300w power supply. Any reasonably simple system will draw 150w or less with no graphics card, so adding a 55w card will not push you over 200w in any given circumstance. And any decent 300w PSU will be able to handle that power demand, even if the "Recommended" wattage is 450w.

Thank you so much for this thread. Answered many questions of mine. I have the same computer as OP and was worried my power supply would not handle the 7750 sapphire ultimate i was wanting.
Also: My current card takes 25w. The card im getting takes 55w. Will my 300w psu handle the 30 extra watts?
