hello, just curious which would be the best choice:
a MSI gtx 560 ti, pny gtx 560 ti, alienware i think gtx 560 ti 1.25 gb vram or a xfx hd 6950 [says its unlocked to 6970] or refurbed vision tech 6970?
all are used and the only refurbed one is the 6970. also, if i can, which would be the two best to CF? the guy is selling 2 6950s but i think you can CF 6950 and a 6970 (correct me if im wrong)

and is there anything wrong with buying a used gfx if it has a 15 day money back warrenty?

Solution

Yes, you can. The 6970 will downgrade to 6950 but overall performance will be great due to better scaling on the 6xxx series.

Nothing terribly wrong. If you are getting it at a great price & buying from a seller with good reputation, you should be covered specially if the item has double lifetime warranty or similar coverage.

Between the 560ti and 6950, some games favor either card. So you will see some games have a higher FPS than another card.

Sometimes used cards are good, but a majority of the time you'd want to get a new card. And yes you can crossfire a 6950 and 6970. The 6970 will match the performance of the 6950.

No i don't think so to be honest i can't say i have never bought a used card maybe these others guys can tell you if it is a wise idea or not sorry i have no experiences with buying used cards :??:
