Buying new monitor

As long as there is one compatible output for the input of the monitor for my graphics card, whether HDMI, DVI, D-sub, then it is compatible right? You don't need to use all of these connectors right?

Right. For this reason also, you don't need to get a monitor with many input ports as they are usually more expensive specially those with display port.
