Has anyone got any information on these? I'm looking for a AMD CPU around this price range which has a AM3+ socket if anyone has any other suggestions? Any replays are appreciated. :)

Like he said, I would also go for the 4300. If you can't then I could also suggest an AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE :)

I didn't hear too many good things about the 4100 :/

I have a 4100 and it does the job, I will upgrade next year though to the 8350.

Do you already have an AMD motherboard? And I would go for the FX 4300 or FX 6300 is you do. If not get an i3 3220.

FX 4300 is the clear choice. Providing the price is right. I have seen a few places where the FX 6300 is the same price. In that case, the 6300 is the correct call.

Is there any major advantage in getting the 6300 because I'd rather save the money if the 4300 just/nearly as good

The 6000 series has total of 3 modules/6 integer cores instead of 2 modules/4 cores on the 4000 series. If the price is close, go 6300. Last I checked on newegg, the 6300 was only $10 more than the 4300 ($139 vs $129). Thats a no brainer. But if the gap is $30 or $40, then its a tougher call.

The 6300 offers better multithreaded performance, and generally better performance.
