Yes, you need to overclock it to 4ghz or as close as you can. m 0 l marcooli0 December 28, 2012 2:17:51 AM would underclocking the gpu make any difference? I'm assuming no m 0 l maxalge a b à CPUs December 28, 2012 2:20:03 AM marcooli0 said:would underclocking the gpu make any difference? I'm assuming no It's not something that is gonna damage anything. Your cpu just cant feed the GPU fast enough to get the full power outta it, that's all. m 0 l papablista a b à CPUs December 28, 2012 2:20:31 AM maxalge said:Yes, you need to overclock it to 4ghz or as close as you can. Agreed clock that sucker that's why it's a BE that is not a great OC board but you should manage close to 4.0 with some voltage tweaks or try a over clocking tool like this http://www.nvidia.com/object/nvidia_system_tools_6.05.h... start a thread in the overclockers forum for the best help, m 0 l payturr a b à CPUs December 28, 2012 2:21:16 AM marcooli0 said:would underclocking the gpu make any difference? I'm assuming no that will not help you - you probably should replace your board too, I never heard of Jetway o.o Grab an Asrock board with a 970 chipset, overclock, you'll be fine. m 0 l papablista a b à CPUs December 28, 2012 2:22:31 AM oops sorry you need amd do they still make an ati type tool, I'll check and get back to you m 0 l papablista a b à CPUs December 28, 2012 2:30:15 AM Here ya go http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/amd-overdrive/Pa... m 0 l marcooli0 December 28, 2012 2:37:13 AM do I have to tweak voltage? I'm kinda worried about messing with that. Plus my temperatures already reach around 55 C at load with an aftermarket cooler. m 0 l papablista a b à CPUs December 28, 2012 2:41:41 AM no that tool is pretty easy to use, good help files. m 0 l payturr a b à CPUs December 28, 2012 2:42:02 AM When it comes to overclocking the CPU, yes, you have to tweak voltage. And that's okay, 55 C isn't too shabby with an aftermarket cooler. Try to get it at, what, 3.6GHz with 1.25-1.28V? That sound fair guys? m 0 l papablista a b à CPUs December 28, 2012 2:47:08 AM here are a couple good little guides to help you along the first one is strictly amd, http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/274820-29-black-editi... http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1804 m 0 l marcooli0 December 28, 2012 2:47:42 AM so should I also try to increase fan speed slightly? m 0 l payturr a b à CPUs December 28, 2012 2:54:00 AM The CPU's fan's speed should automatically re-adjust unless you have it manually set to a certain speed. m 0 l papablista a b à CPUs December 28, 2012 2:54:52 AM yes but your board should do that automatically when the temps go up,how are your temps now, you may want to apply some fresh thermal compound too, get this hw monitor, http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html and this cpu z http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html and this gpu z http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/2181/TechPowerUp_G... m 0 l papablista a b à CPUs December 28, 2012 3:03:47 AM I see u started a thread in the OC CPU forums, thats good you should get all the help u need there, I'll check back tomorrow, I gotta get some sleep, 40c at idle seems a little high your loaded temp is just fine, mine runs at 29 idle and 52 load w/the hyper 212 evo cooler m 0 l Can't find your answer ?
