Smbios wrong?

just wonderin how come pentium 4 cpu (socket 478 at 2.53 ghz) shows through the smbios that can run as fast as 3060mhz and has hyperthreadign...both of which i know is not possible

    Indicates a northwood B core whos maximum cpu was the 3.06 which did include HT.

    Have you ever removed the heatsink to see exactly what model cpu you have?
    I'm not sure if that showing you the best possible or what you have so maybe you do have the 3.06HT P4...
  2. I just did because i was doubting myself too, I am a 100% sure it is a pentium 4 2.53 ghz. lol i guess dell fails at inputting the smbios
