Modem mac locked

My COMCAST Cable Modem worked great for over a year - I have it hard-wired to my Apple iMAC and my wireless router with no problems. I could also hard-wired to other notebooks as needed. All of sudden the modem became MAC locked and I can only get service when directly hard-wired into my iMac. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
