NEED HELP FAST!!!

I got a black screen when running my PNY GTS 250 im running a AMD HD5450 atm but want to replace it but problem is that it puts me on a black screen and the monitors power light is amber.

when i have my hd5450 in computer runs fine, i tried running it without a graphics card and i can hear windows boot normally, but when i have my GTS 250 in all i get is a black screen and the normal motherboard noises but no windows loading noises.

my powerpack is fine as i had a ASUS GTS 250 which i sold in the past and i think it's either 550W or 700W need to find the box.

my specs:
AMD Phenom 8400 Triple Core 2.10GHZ
AMD HD5450
4GB DDR2 Ram
Windows 7 Ultimate 32Bit

Any help would be nice

If you can hear windows booting normally then the card is working to the extent that the computer POSTs with it in. I would recommend trying safe mode as that would use a default VGA driver and from there you could try uninstalling the old drivers and trying different ones to troubleshoot. If you STILL get no video on the GTS250, but it works fine with the 5450... you have a dead card on your hands.
