Hi I want to know what is the GPU for maxing out almost all games at 1440x900 resolution and that won't be too much overkill...
I will upgrade my PSU if it is necessary .
budget 150-200... I want the most future proof one.. Also one that scales well in SLI/CrossfireX... I will definitely be using a multi-GPU system in the future...
Don't think about future-proofing, get a HD 7770 right now. It's cheap and it'll suit your needs. You can choose to crossfire it later on for around 90% more fps, or since it's relatively cheap you'll be able to afford to replace it altogether in a couple of years.
hey have you considered getting a hd 6870?
its better than a hd 7770 and gives bf3 a run for its money @ 1080p
and what if you plan to upgrade your monitor a few months down the road?
get one from here- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161389
Isn't the GTX 560 better than the HD 6870 or is it the other way??
Will the GTX 560 or the HD 6870 run BF3 at Ultra(Everything Ultra, MSAA 4x) at 1440x900 at above 45 FPS??
gtx 560 (nonti) is crapin front of the with the hd 6870 and it costlier and doesnt overclock like the ti...
the only pros are that it runs a teeny bit cooler and has stability of nvidias drivers...
and it will run bf3 @ 1440*900 @ ultra with > 60fps easy

The 6870 has the stability of AMD's drivers, your point being?
I think it's a toss up for op at this point. Both cards perform about the same, and prices can't be too far apart. Neither card will get you 60 fps on Ultra, but they will come fairly close.
see i have been usng amds drivers and am being plaqued with problems such as non opening of catalyst control centre , poor overclocking features etc
so thats what i meant about nvidias superior driver support !!
if your able to spend another $60, I'd suggest saving up a little bit more and grabbing a Sapphire HD 7850 OCed Edition. Fantastic Cooling and the greatest bang for your buck out in the market today.
