This is going to be the only media centre setup in my living room. I also want it to be future proof (to some extent)

Approximate Purchase Date: 1-2 weeks

Budget Range: Under 800$AUS After Shipping

System Usage from Most to Least Important: watching moivies HD and 3D(active); from Streaming, DL, and BlueRay
Also to be used for music: mp3s, flac, CDs etc

Are you buying a monitor: No connected via HDMI to my 50"panasonic 3d plasma

Not bad. Though, the CPU cooler is overkill. The stock cooler will do fine, but if you really want to keep it cool, the Coolermaster Hyper 212+ will be good for your needs.

Thanks for the reply. Will that CPU cooler fit in that particular case? I know the shuriken is 'low profile'?

I ended up going with this configuration, but unfortunately I miss read the MB specs which is mATX and the case mITX.. haha so now I am wondering whether to order the Silverstone FT03 mATX case or get the ASRock A75M-ITX MB board..

MiniITX is VERY small, and the RAM will 110% collide with the heatsink. Get microATX.
!
