I have a Verizon MI424WR router and I want to interconnect with my D-Link DIR-655 A4 router. I have my D-Link router in my bedroom connected directly into my Verizon router with CAT-5. Should I use WDA (Wireless distribution system) to interconnect them or is there an easier way?

Thanks

Disable everything on the WAN side, DHCP, Firewall DNS etc etc.

Set the D-Link LAN IP with your routers IP scope, make sure you set gateway/dns to point to the Verizon internal IP.

Connect LAN port on D-Link to LAN port on Verizon.

What you are doing is turning the D-link into a wireless switch/ap.
