Approximate Purchase Date: October 10th

Budget Range: $0 - $850

System Usage from Gaming thats all

Are you buying a monitor: No

Parts to Upgrade: (e.g.: CPU, mobo, RAM) 16Gb Corsair Vengeance Ram, HP 2311x 23" Montitor. I Have windows 7 OEM.

I need help. I am building a new rig for my birthday and Ive been choosing parts. I am on a budget of 850 bucks, and I want to know what I can do better for this build and maybe save a couple bucks.
The Build:
i3 2120
--
Gigabyte GTX 670 2Gb
--
ASUS P8B75-M/CSM LGA 1155 Intel B75 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
--
16 Gb Vengeance Ram
--
SeaSonic S12II 620 Bronze 620W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply
--
NZXT Source 210 Elite White

Is this good? Can I do better for my money? Im a first time fully custom builder as I am used to building with HP mobos and such. Thanks guys! :hello:

More about : strict budget good

Overall its a good build but...

*Why do you need 16GB of RAM? its simply waay to overkill for gaming and its NOT going to give any performance boost (unless you do HEAVY video editing or run a lot of stuff simultaneously)

*i3 on a 850$ budget??? i dont think so...

buy this:

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($189.99 @ Microcenter)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($114.98 @ NCIX US)
Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($43.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($59.98 @ NCIX US)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 670 2GB Video Card ($399.98 @ NCIX US)
Case: Thermaltake Commander MS/I Snow Edition (White/Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($34.71 @ Microcenter)
Power Supply: PC Power & Cooling 500W ATX12V Power Supply ($57.08 @ NCIX US)
Total: $900.71

sorry i went over budget but it was really necessary

You do if its worth it... and its only a little

No, because you don't know if he even has $50 to spare. Not everyone is rich.

Also tell me, how is $50 "only a little".
