This will be my gaming rig for Guild Wars 2 primarily.
Looking forward to building it, it's been over 5 years since i built my last pc.
To be honest i had no idea what i was doing when i build my last one....so this one
alot of research went into it before i hit the purchase button on each item. :)

Let me know what you all think.

Cheers,
Christopher.

Since you already bought there is not much to say

Overall its a great build but:

*you are aiming kinda high for the GPU overclock, i have 4 GTX 680s overclocked to 1.3/7.128 but they are watercooled with dual 560mm rads.... i am not sure if i would attempt to overclock a air cooled card that far...

*the H100 is noisy so be prepared.

*for roughly the same price you could have purchased a Vertex 4 which performs a bit better than the Samsung 830

*I am not sure why you bought a Caviar black HDD for storage but well... you just did it :na:

Haha it's still enjoyable to talk about. ;)

Your gtx680's voltage unlocked?

I'm prepared for the h100 to be noisy and if it's that bad i'll change the fans to cougar or sythe. :p

Samsung 830 i read better reviews.

I purchased a black drive because i won't fit all my mmo's on the SSD hence the quicker speed of the black.

Please let me know if i'm wrong as i'm all to learn.

Also the total cost including shipping of all items i have listed up there set me back to.....

$2400

lol What do you think?

*yep, my gtx 680s are the EVGAs with 4GB of VRAM

*Great, replacing those fans is a smart choice!

*what i meant about the drive is that there was no need to get a Caviar Black, they are fast but noisy and there is not point in getting a fast drive if its only going to be used for storage.

*Sure, OCZ doesnt have the best reputation when it comes to reliability but the Vertex 4 is (inset and "F")ucking fast!

*i think your build is great!!

if i was building a PC on a 2400$ budget this is what i'd buy:

CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($324.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Thermaltake Water 2.0 Extreme 81.3 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($112.99 @ Microcenter)
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme6 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($179.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($79.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($89.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: OCZ Vertex 4 128GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($114.98 @ NCIX US)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 680 2GB Video Card (2-Way SLI) ($529.98 @ NCIX US)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 680 2GB Video Card (2-Way SLI) ($529.98 @ NCIX US)
Case: NZXT Switch 810 (White) ATX Full Tower Case ($169.98 @ Outlet PC)
Power Supply: SeaSonic 850W ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($119.00 @ Newegg)
Keyboard: Razer RZ03-00391300-R3M1 Wired Gaming Keyboard ($77.24 @ Amazon)
Mouse: Logitech Performance Wireless Laser Mouse ($78.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Total: $2408.10

Hehe thanks guys,
Yeah i changed a few things.
The monitor should be sweet for mmo's and my video card cost me $650 which is pricier but worth it hopefully as i have seen a few of stable 1400/7300 OC's on air. People have cracked 1500 with the msi lightning mwhaha, if it's not good enough for me i'll just send it back and get a gtx690.
I didnt go i7 because i don't render. I'll have photos and everything up in the gallery hopefully by the 30th. :3 Can't wait. *Excitement*

Oh and AUS prices differ to newegg prices haha so i think i did ok ;) Atleast it will last a few years. <3

So how did it do on GW2? on that DX9 coded game -.- still bends me in a bad direction cause they did that.

I play GW2 a good bit on my i5-3470 and HiS 7850 2GB and am still happy with it. What are you upgrading to?

Haha it went good. :p

Probably upgrading to something along the lines of this:

CPU: i7 New Chipset (5th gen)
CPU COOLER: Custom WC loop
GPU: GTX78ti x 2 or wait for 8xx series...
RAM: DDR4 ram
MOBO: New x99 mobo or similiar to suit 5th gen processor
SSD: 512gb ssd
HDD: 4TB sata
PSU: 1000w psu
CASE: thermaltake v70 case
Fans: 6 x corsair sp120 fans in push/pull config on 360mm radiator
pump: Pump/reservoir in one

Monitor: New asus rog 2560x1440p 144hz 27" monitor...

Looking forward to build. Will probably set aside 5k to get it all and maximise aesthetics...

If I had that kind of money 5k to blow your getting mental now. Haha :D

I been thinking of finding a mediocre Z77 board and overclocking my 3470 up to 4.0GHz and possibly a GPU upgrade or find a nice used 7850 to Crossfire maybe. Those would be a nice budget friendly performance bump.

Good luck with your future builds!
