IRQ Conflict???
Have you tried different PCI slots?? Or try manually setting the IRQs through the BIOS.

I would also suggest change the slot that it is in and installing the latest drivers. I have win2k and sb live and it works great.

Parlez vous l'Anglais? ;)

The usual - try different PCI slots, esp. slot 3...

I had trouble getting my Soundblaser Live Value working - I'd install the drivers, reboot and it would work. But after the next reboot it failed, device manager said drivers where bust. I just kept on reinstalling and reinstalling and finally it worked - don't know why, but if all ease fails...

Cheers,
Xain

hello people A7V133... doesn't that ring a bell??

There are reported problems with the Soundblaster Live and VIA's chipset. Try installing the newest chipset drivers and you shouldn't have too much of a problem. Get 4.31 or newer http://www.viahardware.com/download/index.shtm#4in1

It is not SB Live! itself, it is whole buncha crap that comes with the drivers. But anyway, take your NIC out, put SB Live! into any slot but 1, dont install drivers from CD, update drivers from Device Manager and point it to the Driver folder on CD. Reboot each time.
If that helps, you might try to put NIC in.
If you do not have NIC installed, repeat all above without taking the NIC out first, hehe... but uninstall all the drivers first (and reboot each time you add remove anything ;)

Hey, igottaknife, come over, igottawatermellon.
