Amd fx 6300 compatibility?

would i have to update the bios?

Yes, it supports the processor, I believe you do need to update the BIOS.

According to the CPU support list you need BIOS version P1.60 or higher. Check your BIOS version. If it's below that then update to the newest.

Thanks, but what happened i buy it and the motherboard bios is on a 1.40, will the cpu be able to boot into the bios and do an update?

Its possible, but I wouldn't bet on it. Sometimes you can get the MB manufacturer to send you the updated bios.
