the problem is that the first step in computer building is what you were going to put into the computer. like what i do say to other people, the PSU is like the human heart, its an essential part of the body. there's no point in having a athletic body(strong hardware) if your psu cant live up to its athleticism.
the only reason why im questioning this statement is you can afford a high end gpu, and a high end mobo for an amd platform, but you want to cut corners off the psu. cutting corners off psu isnt the way to go, as if your psu goes down, anything else can go down with it. and you probably dont want to lose your gtx 670 to the psu, because you would be almost down the drain 500$ usd from that.
