Hello everybody, wondering if anyone can point me to a good gpu cooler for the evga gtx560 2 gb. The stock heatsink ran pretty hot. Ive replaced it with a icyvision r2 cooler. Their is about a 10c drop .Idle @50c load 90+ (in game bf3/maxp3) case temp 27c. Looking for better. I'm not running sli so 3slot or more is not an issue. any help would be apreciated. Thanks in advance.

My rig is:
antek 300 case, all fans installed.
750w psu
gigabyte 970a-ud3 mb
amd965 black
8 gb ddr3 (4 2gb sticks)
evga gtx 560 2gb
1t sata disk

You have a a good gpu cooler. What paste are you using. Have you also tried to take the side fan off. Sometimes it helps not to have one,

I have tryed ic diamond7 wiped off my artic silver to try it, it didnt work as well as artic. Are temps like this normal for a gtx560 or should i reatach stock cooler and rma it? Im afraid to play any games @ 80c. I dont want to let the magic smoke out of my 230$ card. One last thought about the icy vision cooler, the copper baseplate is smaller than the gpu. Is that part of my problem? I had this cooler atached to my gtx460 and temps never got over 45c.

With side fan off temp went up 3c. Update on tim (Thermal interface material), I have now tried artic silver, ic diamond7, gc2 and because I'm out of all of the above, dynex silver (it sucks. idle 58c). Tried pea method, line method, and even spread method of tim application. Best result was even spreading method with artic silver.

Gi, Do you know if Logisys VC6006 Dracula 12 Heat Pipe VGA Cooler covers the whole 560 gpu?

Sorry, I just saw the listing and linked to it for you. I know nothing about the cooler other than whats in the description

Situation update. Went to the Rshack and got artic silver5 and artic clean. Unpluged 1 monitor. Now Idle is 33c load is 86 c. Still kinda high on load don't you think for stock speeds. Also is it normal to jump 20c+ by adding second monitor?
