Just a quick question - routing through my BIOS setup screen I found the option "Floppy 3 Mode Support".

Anybody explain what this actually is?

Floppy 3 is a special 1.2Mb floppy format that is used primarily outside of the United States, mainly in Japan.

Think of it as equivalent of the different DVD format modes used. PAL/NTSC I think is the other one.

Unless your in Japan and using those floppies you will NEVER run into a situation where you need to enable this feature.
