GPU effect on PC performance...

Hi guys. I have a hard mystery to solve. Why did my old PC work a lot faster and i could record a lot better when i upgraded the GPU and on my new one it completely ruined my PC. my old one had an athlon 64 X2 2.0GHz, 3gb RAM and a geforce 7600GT and i upgraded to a GTS 250 and got an amazing boost and everything worked 200% better and faster. But on my newer PC which consists of an Athlon II X3 445, 4gb RAM and a GF 9800gt 512mb and i upgraded to a Radeon HD 6850 it made gameplay recording next to impossible while only improving the performance only on new games. I want to know why did my old system work even better with a lot more powerful GPU and my new one gave with one hand and took with the other. (don't tell me about the nvidia drivers i unistalled them and installed latest AMD drivers)

which board does u have may be new bios tend to help run faster for ur new one but as what u say that isnt possible 6850 ruins gts 250 also it same preform as gtx 560

Without knowing your full system specs and your monitors resolution, it's anybody's guess.

yeah lower resolution may play games fast and got better fps

No. I didn't say it outperforms the 6850. I said the old system WAS 200% better than before when i got the 250, not that it was better than my new. My board on the new one is a Biostar N68S3+ and on my old one is a Gigabyte MA-770 UD3

resolution is 1280x1024. But i didn't say that my old system was better in games i said that my old one could record even better than it did before and by that i said that it performs better than itself not the new one.

No. I want to know why does my old machine record better when upgraded to a lot more powerful GPU (better than ITSELF, not the new machine), and my new one now lags to death when recording with a lot more powerful GPU.

Sorry i didn't express myself properly. I meant my old one records better than it did before on a lot more powerful GPU and my new one records worse than before
