This is my first time building a new PC. Basically, I am confused to what I need to install SOFTWARE wise in order to make this transition? Do I have reinstall my Windows 7 copy? BIOS updates? uninstalling/reinstalling drivers? ANY tips are appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

  1. So you're upgrading an old PC? You should only need to install drivers for the new graphics card. Windows is tied to your mobo and hard drive, and BIOS is tied to your mobo.
  2. just remember that hp can be a ass sometimes and not use standard mounting.
