I am looking for HDs for my first IDE RAID setup.
IBM 60GXP seems to be the HD of choice around here.
What do you guys think of the Seagate Barracuda IV specs.

This is the only review I can find and I have no experience with the source. They made the Barracuda sound like an attractive alternative.

IBM's new 60GXPs are comming out of China and I fear decreased longevity may result. Are there any issues with Seagate quality/longevity?
Also, what RAID controlers should I be looking at?

The spec sounds good to me. Especially "sound" of Barracuda IV, (my buddy likes only Seagates, HP UNIX hardware, UX, Gigabite, he orders the best memory and other stuff from the manufacturer exclusively..)
As for me, I prefer 60GXP, it's technical data looks better for me, and I like the IBM, made in ..? I don't know.
