So I have a Gateway DX4320-04e and upgraded the PSU to a Corsair DX430 and now want to upgrade the graphics card. The problem is that I need to find one that fits in this case so roughly the same size as my 5450. What would be the best option?

Well there is always the 6450 which isnt much of an improvement, in my opinion the best options in the low profile range would be the SAPPHIRE HD 6670 1GB GDDR5 Low Profile, which has pretty decent performance, but personally i would wait for the Sapphire 7750 Low Profile cards which would have better performance, however I have no idea how long you will have to wait, Iv seen a few articles on it but no release date as of yet.

Hope this helps.

Yeah, it should be fine and will be a pretty big increase in performance from the Radeon HD 5450.

Too bad there are no low profile Radeon HD 7750 since that card uses a little less power than the Radeon HD 6670 (about 6w less), but it is almost a powerful as a Radeon HD 6770.

PowerColor announced the launch of such a card yesterday, but there is no info about price (probably $120 - $130), and when it will be available for sale.

PCIe 3.0 cards are backwards compatible, exactly the same way Sata 3 harddrives work on Sata 2 motherboards.
