Hey, I am new to building computers and I am looking to build one for myself for mostly gaming use mainly because I have heard that building your own is in fact less expensive than buying one from Dell or some other big company. I am looking to start PC gaming because I am frankly fed up with Sony and the PS3 for many reasons but that is beside the point. I need to be able to play ArmA II and preferably ArmA III when it comes out. So I am in need of everyone's help because I have no idea what is compatible with what and whether the components will work for what I am looking to use the PC for. I will be using Steam for most games (not sure if that will mean anything ) I am hoping to keep the cost to under $800 as I am only 16 and cash is a little tight since I only make $9.50/hr. but a little more might be okay if it is necessary. So without further adieu....here is what I am planning on buying component wise:
Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Computer Case:Cooler Master RC-343-KKN1 Elite 343 Mini Tower Case - Micro ATX Video Card: VisionTek 900431 Radeon HD 5770 Video Card - 1GB Power Supply: Cooler Master RS850-AMBAJ3-US Silent Pro M 850W Hard Drive: Western Digital WD10EALX Caviar Blue Hard Drive - 1TB, 3.5" Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium-64 bit Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-S2P AMD 760 Motherboard - Micro ATX RAM: Patriot PGD316G1333ELK Gamer 2 Series Desktop Memory Kit - 16GB (2 x 8GB) Monitor: LG E1942C-BN 19" Class Widescreen LED Backlit Monitor
I tried to be as specific as possible these are all available on tigertirect.ca let me know if I am missing anything or if something doesn't work or just comments in general.
P.S. I need to be able to connect to wireless internet not sure if the motherboard I am looking at integrates that or not. please let me know.
