Additional Comments: Well I have most parts picked out just had some questions on what I should go with to top the build off.

Case: Cooler Master HAF 932 Blue Edition $ 150.00

Mobo & CPU: i5-3570K Ivy Bridge & ASROCK Z77 Extreme 4
$ 346.00

CPU Fan: Cooler Master Hyper 12 Plus $ 30.00

GPU: This what I am still looking at Possibly a 7970

PSU: Corsair 750TX $ 130.00

Ram: Gskill Ripjaw 8GB $ 46.00

Hard drive: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB $ 110.00

SSD: Crucial M4 128GB $ 110.00

CD/DVD Drive: ASUS Black DVD $ 19.00

Network Adapter: TP-Link Wireless Adapter $ 18.00
(Just getting for my router setup in another part of my house on another computer.)

Now I am willing to spend UP TO $ 1500, so I was wondering what GPU to get. Maybe getting a 7970 or a Nvidia.

More about question advice
  1. With the 12.7 drivers, the 7970 is not a bad choice anymore.
  2. Depends. In some games, the 680 beats the 7970, and in others, the 7970 wins. Depends on the games you're playing. So what games are you planning on playing?
  3. Well I will be playing games like LoL, WoW, and alot of Arama 2 Dayz. And different FPS such as Battlefield and Team fortress mainly.
  4. At 1080p, the 670 is a hair faster. This is with 12.7 drivers.

    Get the 670.
  5. LoL, WoW, TF2 aren't GPU intensive, so the 7970 is just as good as the 670.

Arma 2 is a demanding game, and so is BF3, so the 670 wins. Also, 660Ti might come out tomorrow, so maybe check it out.
