Which of the cases suit me better?

I dont need these two features which 500R has in additional compared to CM 690 II advanced

1) I do NOT need Front USB 3.0
2) Fan Controller on 500R is not much usable as per reviews

Also, There are like 11 cooling slots for 690 II compared to 7 of 500R

There is a Dust Filter on Top on 690 II Advanced where as black 500R doesnt have it.

My top Priority is space and cooling. I can buy and fit all the optional fan slots with good 120/140/80mm fans as per the fans size.

Also, dimension wise CM 690 II advanced is 8.4 x 20.1 x 20.8 inch and 500R 8.1x20x20.5 inch. Which of the both actually has more interior space?

I'm getting them in India @ Identical prices.

Which of them should I pull the trigger?

Thanks!

I like the 80mm optional fan at the back of the motherboard as well as 80mm optional adjustable graphic card fan which is just great on the CM 690 II advanced.

Which of the both actually has more interior space? This is the last thing that's pulling me back from buying this case. I had seen some youtube reviews saying that its not much bigger for SLI but from the dimensions it does look bigger than 500R, can anyone confirm this?

it seems like 304mm or around 12" is the maximum length of video card supported. I don't think multi-GPU will be a problem as long as you stick to 2 cards

Thanks ezio for your comment.

The Corsair 500R description shows "Supports graphics cards up to 452mm in length (with hard drive cage removed)" which is a lot lengthier than what you told for 690 II advanced.

But the dimensions show that 690 II advanced is bigger, which of the two actually has more space?

Do you mean 304mm without hard drive cage removed?

Thanks ezio, I guess it would be larger than 500R with HDD cage removed..

690 II advanced seems an affordable combo of looks, value and extreme air cooling.

I liked 500R mostly but no dust filter at top and for bottom fan and not much great on looks. 690 II advanced has like slots for 12 case fans with notable optional 80mm fans behind motherboard and at graphic card which seems a great combo.

Bottom 2 case fans+front fan as intake and rest of the fans as exhaust looks like a great airflow combo for me. I just need to look at the max fan slots my mobo+PSU can hold..

EDIT: Hmm..well, Ive changed my mind again and went for 500R. The back cover 80mm case hole is basically useless and 690II advanced has less air intake (1x140 vs 2x120 for 500R). Also, I do think fan controller could be handy at times, but has mixed reviews. The air dust filter at the top is useless since I use it for exhaust. Also, a firewire port is a good addon along with a quite and efficient 200mm side fan. And it looks far more stylish than 500R..Well, I had a real hard time choosing cases LOL..
