First full self-built gaming rig

So, about to head home from deployment in afghanistan, and I have a nice big wad of cash to blow on a new gaming PC. I'm trying to keep it under $2500, but I'm not adverse to going above that if there is a compelling reason. Monitors/mice/etc are not a consideration, just the tower (I have oodles of peripherals already).

This is what I came up with yesterday.

Mostly interested in ways I can keep the same general setup but perhaps beef up performance for limited aditional cash.

Also interested in advice on GPU and case, and just general quality of these parts and wether or not they will all "play nice". Also, I'm somewhat interested in going to dual-GPUs, but I'm not sure which would be better bang for my buck... One high-end GPU, or 2 mid-range ones for about the same or a bit more $?

And are there any components I'm just flat out forgetting that need to be added to my shopping list?

And is it worth it to go with aditional cooling? How much of a pain is it to set up liquid cooling systems and such?

More about first full self built gaming
  1. The GTX 680 is only 5% faster and $100 more. Get the GTX 670.
You don't need 16GB of RAM because games barely use 4GB. Get 8GB cuz it is the sweet spot.
