Lan express

Hello,
I just bought a Linksys E4200. My computer is a Sony VAIO PCG-K17. My wireless adapter is LAN-Express AS IEEE 802.11g miniPCI Adapter. It will not connect or authorize. It says that it may not support WPA. But there is a WPA pull-down when I change the settings.It does not stay and will not lock. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.

what are the wireless settings in the router? WPA or WPA2 security mode? AES, TKIP, or AES+TKIP algorithm?
