Cinebench only uses 4 out of 8 cores on my fx8320

When running cinebench it only uses 4 cores and 8 threads, whereas when I first had my pc it said 8 cores and 8 threads, ive also noticed that I am getting a lower cinebench score since this has happened. if this has happenedd to anybody before and knows how to fix this any help would be appreciated.
thanks in adavance.

More about cinebench cores fx8320
  1. The 8 core amd cpus were really designed for server applications. It can't hurt to use it, but don't expect your applications to use all 8 cores at once.

fx8320 is really 4 core 4 slight cores its similar to intel i7 3770k 4 core + 4 HT means 8 threads. Cinebench has now updated probably as amd fx 8 cores are really 4 cores hyperthreaded.

Yea it is showing what it really is a quad core processor with 8 threads. Welcome to AMD's "8 core" modular scam.
  3. I understand this but without any updates to cinebench it used to say 8 core/8 threads and I used to get a considerably better score but since the core count has gone down to 4 cores the score has gone down about 0.3 points. I was wondering if I had disabled something?

It really isn't an scam/lie.... but I can see how people think so, with the way they are built. There are 8 physical cores, so they're not really lying.
