Hi guys, so basically yea the thread title states what i wanna ask. Im going to order from pc specialist.co.uk as they seem pretty decent in terms of quality and price. I'd like the card to play pretty much anything at medium detail at least...but if thats going to be expensive ill look at other options. I'd at least like a graphics card that could play the next set of games coming out throughout the year. Im not a computer geek i just love gaming, so id like some advice on these chaps:

2GB GeForce™ GT540M

1GB GeForce™ GT630M

1GB GeForce™ GT 650M

1GB GeForce™ GTX660M

1.5GB GeForce™ GTX670M

Now i know at least the GTX's are better, but they are also expensive as it makes sense they do..but what i want to know is what is the best option for the games i wanna play..such as gears of war 3 and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Thanks a lot.

um, all the cards you picked out are mobility editions made for laptops. you can't really change laptop video cards at home. meanwhile, if you're looking for a desktop video card, look for the same things without the "m"

i dont know how to convince you, GTX 660m is the most efficient one , because it based on GK107 28nm, and gtx 670 and gtx 675 is gf114 40nm is the same chip of 580m\570m
gtx 660m is powerful enough to play all games maxed out
but if you want another good cheaper one GT650m
i dont recommend any thing cheaper for a gamer

Well, you're right when you said that the GTX cards are better. if you want to play games at high quality, the gtx660m and 670m are pretty much your only options. generally, people will tell you to simply buy the most expensive card you can afford for gaming purposes, this is especially true for laptops as upgrade paths are limited.

FYI, you listed the cards in order of performance from least (gt540m) to most (gtx670m). bottom line, I would at least get a 650m for your needs

Yea the gt 650m is really cheap compared to the others...which has had quite decent reviews in terms of its dealing with gaming demands...but obviously i want a choice that will get me through games such at GTA V in the future..which im guessing will be pretty demanding. I don't suppose any of you know any gaming laptops that are at a good price which a strong graphics card? might be able to save money that way instead of building from scratch.
