I'd like to buy a 3D monitor. I currently have a 27" monitor, so the monitor has to be 27" or more (it is impossible to go back to smaller screens). Do you have any advice? I don't care which brand it is. Resolution has to be 1920x1080 or higher (preferably higher, but only if it fits in my budget). Budget: €500 but I prefer < €400 (I live in The Netherlands)

I'm going to use the monitor for gaming and movies. I can probably run games in 3D smooth, because my build is pretty powerfull. (i7-3770K + 2x GTX680 4GB SLI)

What is your video card? What brand you have will influence your choice.

I have Palit Jetstream GTX 680 4GB in SLI configuration

How exactly would that infect my choice, if I may ask?

AMD HD3D in an active 3D setup, will either require an HDMI 1.4a connection which limits you to 720p at 60hz per eye (for gaming) or 24hz at 1080p (for movies, gaming would suck). Displayport is needed for optimal support.

With Nvidia, you will want a Dual link DVI setup, and for the best visuals, so things aren't very dark, you'll want to go for 3D Vision 2. The ASUS VG278H would be a good choice.
