download not authorised ???

I turn on WoW this morning, and it starts downloading a patch. Then a error
message pops up: 'This download is not authorised by the tracker'.

Anyone had this happen to them?

Yeah, it means Blizzard's patch downloading system blows syphillitic
goats. Go to Fileplanet or Filefront or one of the other popular sites,
and d/l the patch much faster and surer, then install it yourself.

I've seen this on a couple of other patches, and especially when I've
downloaded the patch early in the maintenance window. It's Bittorrent
trying to tell you it's not happy about something.

Personally, to date I've just ignored it. The download still goes
ahead, and the results have been fine. YMMV, of course.

Yes, it told me that several times but downloaded and applied the patch
without a problem anyway. Ignore it.

Hi,

*Thoroughly hacked off now*. I'm getting the same message and have tried
downloading the patch from elsewhere only to find that the only English
version available is the "enUS" patch which won't install on my "enGB"
version of the game - if anyone can point me to UK site offering this
download I'd be grateful, in the meantime I shall just have to spend the
rest of the day muttering about Blizzard's bizarre notion of customer
support ... Grrr.

Have tried "OK"ing/ ignoring tracker message but am simply getting nowhere !

Its not... stuck on the retrieving characters screen for half an hour. Oh
well, I'll try this 'real life' thing for a change
