Currently in Afghanistan and going to start ordering parts for my first computer build so its waiting for me when i get home in 7 months. Only thing i dont like is that the warranties will be ticking away before i even see the parts but the up side to it is that i dont have to shell out 1600 bucks all at once. Im open to any suggestions. Thank you

Hello! Welcome to the community. What do you plan on using this PC for, and what is your budget? Your build is all compatible. However, you could get this Crucial M4 SSD for ~$100.

In addition, you could get this XFX PSU for $80 after rebate.

In addition, the 7850 is about the same price as the 560 Ti, and beats the 560 Ti, and uses very little power.

Thank you for the quick response! The build will be used primarily for gaming. Usually 1 but possibly 2 mmo games when i get home as the guys here think i need to join in on swtor. As far as rebates I have never done a build but I assume like any other rebate its something my wife could fill out and send in? I will be gone the duration of most rebates. But im sure if they are going to send her money she would be happy to fill them out. As far as the parts you have suggested it being my first build I am happy to follow advice and if possible could i get you to explain why each is better for the money? I am not on a real tight budget so if something is a significant upgrade im happy to hear about it. I am very happy there are sites like this with such well informed people. Thank you for your time and knowledge.

the samsung 830 is a lot faster than the crucial v4

get a z77 board. theres no point of getting a board thats discontiuned. better off with a board with more driver support and newer technologies

also, get the phantom 410. save some money instead of buying a case with space you never need

The Samsung 830 is $105 w/ free shipping @Amazon.

TBT is right. The Z77 boards offer more features, get more updates, etc. It doesn't cost much extra either. The Z77MX-D3H by Gigabyte is $130 w/ free shipping @Newegg.

You could wait a bit for the price drop on the 7870 b/c of the 660 Ti. Both are $300, but the 7870 should be $250-$270 soon enough. Both perform similarly, but if the price drops, the 7870 will be the overall better card.

Thank you big troll. Yeah I must of fat fingered the button upon selection was suppose to be the Crucial M4 but after your suggestion of the samsung I am going to go with it for possible faster speeds. I changed out the mobo for a z77 as well and hope i picked a decent one. As far as the case i did not know if a mid tower would be enough room with the larger Video cards and such. Being my first build i just went with a big case so i knew i had room. But if it will all fit in a mid tower i would def. look into that thank you.

After changes we are to this point. Enjoying the feedback please feel free to add any more advice thank you

Thank you. Like i mentioned at the top i have about 5-6 months to wait things out and am happy to hear ideas on what parts to "wait out" and which parts i should order first as there will not be much change. Im guessing like the case and stuff i should order first. But i will keep my eye on the 7870 To replace the 7850 before i order.

Don't get the SSD or GPU now. The prices are coming down, and in 5-6 months, AMD's new 8xxx series will be out, so you could either get that, or get a 7xxx card for cheap. Imagine the 7970 for $300. SSD prices have gone down a lot, and they keep dropping. If you're interested in Win8, you could get Win7 now, and upgrade for $40, or get the full copy for $70. Peripherals, case, KB, mouse, etc. will not go down in price. Mobo, CPU, RAM, will go down, but not by a huge amount like the GPU and SSD.

Thank ou again. Sounds like a good referance. I will plan on getting the, in that order and holding off as long as i can on the SSD and GPU. Thank you for all your help. I am pleased with the build right now and will keep my eyes peeled for upgrades that drop in price
